CCS Adheres to the Highest Ethical Standards
Trust in CCS is well-placed. CCS cares about you and your privacy. The independently contracted therapists at CCS have high levels of education, training, and experience, as well as ethical principles. Our contracted therapists adhere to the code of ethics sanctioned by the American Counseling Association, the Code of Conduct and the Ethical Principles of Psychologists put forth by the American Psychological Association and/or the NASW Code of Ethics. Protecting your privacy is something you can come to expect.
How does CCS Maintain Confidentiality?
Your confidentiality is protected at all times by the platforms that we use to complete paperwork, documentation and online sessions. Only HIPAA compliant platforms are used so you can experience high quality care, conveniently.
Records are secure and only made available through your authorization. You can rest assured that you sessions are private and confidential.
*Please note: exceptions to this are by law and are the same at any other counseling facility or practice in North Carolina and in most of the US. If there is imminent harm to someone, or suspected child or elder abuse, these must be reported to appropriate authorities.
Building Trust
Trust is both a priority and a legacy. In this profession, the only way forward is through trust between you and your therapist.
Trust is the backbone of the counseling process. You can benefit from the process if you actively participate in the process. It can be difficult to want to participate if you are concerned about your privacy. Therapy can be most successful when it reinforces hope and drives support and collaboration. Trust can help you rebuild bridges and reconnect with others, beginning with your therapist. We look forward to our work together.
